“Huge fragments vaulted like rebounding hail, Nocturnal Media is developing its first film project, “The Thresher’s Flail”, a project inspired by Coleridge’s famous poem, “Kubla Khan”. The scope of the project has changed dramatically since its inception as a short piece depicting the imagery of the poem to a full-length, 3D-animated film that blends the imagery and mythology of the poem with other intriguing ancient legends, including those of Camelot and King Arthur. The result will be an intricate and artful story rendered in glorious animation. The screenplay for “The Thresher’s Flail” is by Stewart Wieck. You may preview the first few pages of the screenplay. The opening scene is at the conclusion of King Arthur’s final battle to salvage his dream of Camelot. |
