Nocturnal Media, LLC is an entertainment media company co-founded and co-owned by Houston-based Stewart Wieck and Oliver Diaz. Established in 2010, Nocturnal Media works in a range of fields from paper publishing to digital media. We ascribe to a philosophy of developing artful, creative entertainment utilizing the best technologies and methodologies available. Our innovation is content.

Stewart Wieck is a game designer and author of short stories, novels and screenplays. His work is most closely associated with White Wolf Publishing, a company he founded while in high school to publish a magazine dedicated to pen and paper roleplaying games such as Dungeons & Dragons. His work at White Wolf is highlighted by the co-creation of the World of Darkness, a fictional world that grew from such roleplaying games as Vampire: The Masquerade and Mage: The Ascension. The host of talented individuals at White Wolf revolutionized roleplaying games with a conviction that games can be art.

After White Wolf merged with CCP Games in 2006, Stewart remained involved in the new company, but after three years the entrepreneurial itch got the better of him. Nocturnal Media will be the publisher for his future projects, which include an animated adaptation of his screenplay “The Thresher’s Flail” and Relentless: Darkling Plain, a MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena). Stewart also remains dedicated to his roots in paper roleplaying, as evidenced by support for the classic King Arthur Pendragon.

Oliver Diaz is an illustrator and graphic designer who operates the respected Houston-based web and interactive media company Bullfighter Design. He has constructed countless websites and worked with clients like Schlumberger, NOV and M.D. Anderson to fulfill their communication needs. In 2010, he worked closely with BP following the Deepwater Horizon oil-spill to create presentations explaining the progress of the company’s clean-up efforts and deployment of resources.

In addition to these virtual creations, Oliver worked in the physical-world as a student of architecture and as publisher for an educational magazine. He also has extensive experience in marketing, including time with IT and advertising companies, culminating as Creative Director at the agency RCS.
Oliver intends to explore his passions for digital media, games of all sorts and the fantasy genre in the projects he directs and creates within Nocturnal Media.
